This was a very busy and productive week for me in terms of IP. I spent the first part working on book design, I feel like im very close to having a solid one, I also began the drawing process FINALLY!!!!! Ive spent so much time doing other stuff with text and book layouts and building sets, I finally get to do the fun part! The painting part scares me tho :/ it might take a while. Im going to try my hardest to have almost all of the drawings done this weekend, If i could do that it would really help me get finished in a timely manner. Only got 2 weeks :/ shit lol. As far as making the books I looked into getting them printed off at kinkoes (hope that how u spell it) Unfortunately I cant get my book perfect bound at kinkoes since my book is a 9 by 7 horizontal. the lady said that like the biggest they could print horizontally is like 20 inches, and since mine is 9 across, its 18 across the whole thing which does not leave enough space to get the book perfect bound because the cover must stretch across the book and have a gutter and things like that. I could get it spiral bound but im not sure how i feel about that, worse comes to worse and I dont have any other options ill just get the spiral bind. Im gonna go to kolosas and see what they can do for me. Why dont you change the size of the book you ask? well, i chose 9 by 7 because it was one of the few good horizontal sizes offered by lu lu (where I would like to put the book after IP) AND if I change that darn book size again I will have to go through the trouble of adjust everything else, AGAIN, 4 THE BILLIONTH TIME, AAARRRRRR and as you could see that would drive me crazy! plus I started drawing, and my drawings are sized to fit 9 by 7, changing the books size would just be a hassle and a headache that I dont want to have, and I dont have time for all that. So, I shall explore some other options, but if nothing pans out, spiral bound it is.

  1. Tyrone,
Glad that you are immersed in the drawings. I'll look forward to seeing your progress on Tuesday. In terms of producing a prototype book, you can definitely print and perfect bind a 9 x 7 book. Do not spiral bind! Let's talk in person in class.
